Default New Vancouver LE Policy
Without waiting for the courts to act, the Vancouver Police Department has implemented a new policy that effectively decriminalizes prostitution and emphasizes protection of sex workers.

The policy states that "sex work involving consenting adults is not an enforcement priority for the VPD." It directs officers "to ensure the safety and security of sex workers" when dealing with sex-work related calls or situations.
