What did he do - sign a glove for you or something? I never called him a thug. I said he's no different from anyone else that murders someone in cold blood. The only reason you hear about it is because he was a football player. This happens three times a day in the US. And no, we don't know the whole story. We do know know thjat drugs, alcohol, anger, rage, jealousy, were all involved. He had no business worrying about where she was when he obviously couldn't keep his dick where it belonged. She was going to leave him and take his kid and his money and he shot her NINE FUCKING TIMES. That's all the story I need to know.

Fair question. She was in fact a good friend of a good friend, although I never met her. So seeing the devastation that it's caused my friend has been difficult.

I'm really upset by seeing the Chiefs publicly bawl and eulogize over the guy. If you want to mourn, do so but do it privately. You didn't see the WWF do a tribute to Chris Benoit after he killed his family and himself. That just shows bad judgement and sends a bad message. Scott Pioli, as the GM of the town's NFL team, has a different set of responsibilities than his family, and should be aware of it.

I'm upset by the media as well. The message seems to be, "Yeah, so he killed a gal. He made an awful lot of good tackles!"

I'm upset by how many people tiptoe around the key issue, in my opinion. Some want to talk about domestic violence, but for God's sake, don't talk about how they weren't married - and that unmarried couples are twice as likely to be involved in domestic violence. That's too darned judgmental in this "I'm OK, you're OK" society. Bullshit. Reality is reality. She wasn't his wife - she was a woman that he stuck his dick in and knocked up, and he was apparently working on another one. It's a more violent version of the Maury show.

They'll talk about guns as if the gun jumped into the guy's hand and fired itself. But for God's sake, don't talk about how he shot her NINE times. That means that, best-case, she was able to stay standing for maybe 2-3 shots. He pumped at least six bullets into her as she lay on the floor, probably already dead. That's not anger, that's EVIL.

Let's not talk about why the police let him drive home even though he was probably still shitfaced.

This thing, all around, is a goat-fuck supreme, and encompasses a hell of a lot about what is wrong with our society today, and I'll be honest. It frustrates the shit out of me.

Huh?/?/ why is that ridiculous, I thought it was a great thing. That baby lost everything and living without a mother and father is going to be tough for her, your way of thinking needs to be re-evaluated

Actually it was the insurance policy that was determined through the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the Players association.

Fair enough, I can now see where your coming from and I am sorry for your friend. I do agree with almost all of what you say here.

Sorry DD, but I do not buy that... if it was the policy that was granted through the collective bargaining agreement then it would have a suicide clause.

I am not saying that she does not deserve the money... lets be real... no amount of money can replace a mother.

I'm wondering if there are any safeguards in place to make sure that money does what it is supposed to do. I'd hate to hear that the family has run through it all.

Acording to the news report I saw, thats what it stated, it also broke down how much a month would go to the child per month and the amount increased each year. The Chiefs have also set up a fund but that is seperate from the insurance policy.

Here is the link that breaks it down

They get it in monthly payments through her 18th birthday or 23rd if she goes to college.

Sign a glove... Is that really the best you could come up with? I don't understand why it's so hard for you guys to comprehend that professional athletes have friends. What's the big deal? Why is it necessary for you guys to throw a fit, because someone is in a different social circle than you discount, backpage hooker loving fools?

As for the rest of your babbling... We've covered this. I've never defended his actions that day.

One million isn't much of nothing when you take into account she lost both her parents. Most people if given 1 million would have it blown in under a month and be broke.
