My choice for the best drummer would be Ginger Baker. In fact, Cream would be very high on my all time list. Clapton peaked during the Cream years.

That pic is Dave Lombardo. Drummer for Slayer.

Regarding guitarists, Tony Iommi doesn't get enough credit IMO for being an incredible guitarist. When I saw him not too long ago with Heaven and Hell I was in awe.

There is a reason he is widely regarded as The Godfather of Heavy Metal music.

Why must we pick just 5? Pretty much helzyeahing everyone else's list......except:


Aerosmith. LOVE their music. HATE that they kicked me off the tour for being too wild. Such an asshole thing to do from Aerosmith

Van Halen: Eddie has to be the best contemp quitarist, but the sight of him scrambling around in just cowboy boots...well....just well. Flying pirates can aim bottle rockets, matey.

The Zep. The best. Ever. But I'm not gonna talk @ Plant, thats a bit too personal. But he is one helluva guy. (Paige is a dick)
