I am on need of a laptop so that I can access everything to work. My laptop was smashed into pieces a couple of months ago when I was broken into. ultimately I would like to find something that I can pay out or barter for.

Hey Krista,

You might wish to ask this in the Dallas Sandbox as well. Lots of local guys will check that area out and they often will barter.

Also, craigslist is VERY good. I found a nice two year old Dell laptop (all the bells and whistles, too) for $100. Complete.

I've purchased a LOT of things on craigslist and with one exception, it's always been great!!!

also facebook is full of local swap shop and garage sale type "pages" now use keywords like your town's name in the search box to find them . i found great local deals on things people had for sale on a facebook garage sale page .
