To me taking self pic's is not bad - if they are current and are of the provider - and yes most rely on a mirror - most new do not have the experience or revenues to go to a professional photo - one down side of this is that they are able to air brush photo's -

In short - the old saying - and I wish all would just hold to this - " what you see is what you get " - if not what you see it is not good to me.

Bailey - there is nothing wrong with your pic's - kind of like them - and I 100% feel what you see is what you get.

There is no reason for a nice providers not to see me.

I don't mind one or two mirror pics that show the lady as she looks "normally" -- as opposed to professional glamour shots. They can also give me some idea that she hasn't changed much in the months/years since her photo shoot. If she puts the date or a personalized message in the photo it can add some credibility that she is real, and that she cares about marketing.

I am amazed. I guess it comes from a marketing perspective. A picture, whether it is a self portrait or professionally done, tells a story. Photography, like all art, is a powerful form of communication. If a lady steals a pic from the web, she is a thief. If a lady takes a self-portrait and you see a messy room in the mirror's reflection, she is disorganized which reflects her attitude towards her business. Professional pics indicate that lady is aware of her marketing image, but these pics can be expensive. If lady has a friend or another provider take the picture and they are tastefully and artfully produced, it states, to me, that lady is concerned about her marketing image yet is aware of her costs of doing business. In my limited experience in this hobby, I found that those ladies who care about their marketing image provide a better service. Just my 2 cents.

First of all, being "vain" is part of being a provider imo, no need to apologize..

That's the only reason huh? Wow......that one didn't even cross my mind. Especially since I'm in Omaha and when I come to KC, I don't always advertise.

No other reasons? Really? Like maybe you calling all the ladies liars in your first post in this thread? Lumping all providers into one stereotype. Oh and lets not forget the massage lotion posts. lol

You really need to look at your posting history and read some of your posts. You contradict yourself so much.

My real pics and do my best to keep them up to date, I do not feel its fair to the clients to show up at their appointment and see its NOT the person in the pic, I have offered my clients that if I am not the person in the pic then you have the right to leave with out explanation.
I do feel that if the ladies in this hobby can't show their real features such as their face then this isn't the business for them.... I think the gifts that come from the hobbyists are well worth the real pics ... Ijs
And BP is a great tool for advertisement because some sites only allow you to use them for advertisement 1 or 2 times a week, but hobbyists as well as the ladies have to do their homework at all times.... My appointments may not cost them a fortune to see me, but I have built up a great reputation with all them and I'm always all about them and never myself.
I take every ladies negative and turn it into a positive for myself that's why I'm going on my 1 year anniversary for my business which I know is not as long as some,but my business is just as serious as the other ladies and sometimes it's not easy out here .

Stacy, you're so right. I've known women whose looks changed completely overnight and for the worse, as in going from nice to mugshot! However, the times I saw you, you were always in good form. Thank goodness some people put forth the effort.
