You have maintain a balance to keep yourself healthy both physically and mentally. I choose this over a career that is considered "respectable" and trust me that field was more stressful than this one. I love the travel.the gentlemen I have met and most of the providers I have had contact with. So all in all the "world oldest profession is the best"

Maybe she's a reporter, trying to do the opposite of Amber Lyon by getting the real story instead of making up a bunch of "trafficked children" scare shit for ratings.
If that's the case, Surfergirl, you'll get better results if you 'fess up instead of trying to be sneaky.

Well with all the recent bs, another reporter is not half my worries. She can write whatever she likes about London Rayne....who's that?

This is me. I love this job as I am a horny lady all the time. I think this job is hot.. I think its hot to get you hot.

I absolutely love being an escort. That doesn't mean it's not stressful! I could talk about all the things that make escorting stressful, but that doesn't really answer the poster's question. Here are some things that make escorting more difficult than being a doctor, lawyer, et cetera:
1) Providers have to worry about their physical safety.
2) We also have to worry about keeping our personal lives separate from our provider lives. All it takes is one crazy person to put our family lives and safety in serious jeopardy.
3) Speaking of crazies, we attract them. Like crazy.
4) It can be difficult to carry on a normal romantic relationship while providing.
5) Doctors and lawyers aren't routinely forced to hear/read that they are not worthwhile individuals because of what they do.
6) If something does go wrong during an appointment and a provider is assaulted, robbed, or worse, there is a good chance that the only help she'll be able to get is a listening ear from a provider friend.
This post turned out much more grim than I thought it would. I'm sure we could think of a million reasons that escorting is harder than other jobs, just as we could think of a million reasons that those jobs are harder than escorting. I love what I do, and I have found that those people who negatively judge me (men especially) are often projecting their own guilt onto me. I appreciate it very much when a man understands that this is not "easy money." Telling me that it is easy money is a great way to get a good kick in the ass when you're on your way out my door!

2) We also have to worry about keeping our personal lives separate from our provider lives. All it takes is one crazy person to put our family lives and safety in serious jeopardy. I agree with you here, but would like to add, that I think this is somewhat true of every profession, especially for single mothers. The tension created between you personal and professional lives can be extremely stressful. You are torn in different directions on almost a daily basis. The family wants your undivided attention for this, while your profession needs your undivided attention for that. You gotta choose one over another, and often times your heart is with your family while you must choose you profession in order to keep your job. So the choice is made for you.
3) Speaking of crazies, we attract them. Like crazy.
4) It can be difficult to carry on a normal romantic relationship while providing. Yeah, speaking of neat tricks (so to speak)...
5) Doctors and lawyers aren't routinely forced to hear/read that they are not worthwhile individuals because of what they do. I strongly disagree with this. Lawyers are the butt of probably 1000x (or more) of the jokes that escorts or doctors are. And lawyers aren't respected as people. Even though escorts may be judged, they are not nearly as universally despised as lawyers. Doctors aren't home free either, but they fare a lot better. Society sees them as a whole rather positively...until you start talking about the idiot doctor you're seeing, and how he spent less than a minute with you and charged $500.
6) If something does go wrong during an appointment and a provider is assaulted, robbed, or worse, there is a good chance that the only help she'll be able to get is a listening ear from a provider friend. Yeah, even with national healthcare, at least the medical bills would be covered. But, you can't find much support for that even on a hooker board. I've always wondered why.

I don't think it is easy money...but I do think it is a lot of money. I know, most escorts probably don't think so, but it is to me. Ben Matlock used to say, "Ain't nothin' easy." And I agree with that sentiment. In the demimonde, I don't think it is easy to be an escort or a hobbyist. It's hard for both. And, by that I mean that is hard in different ways for different people. For me, coming up with the money is hard. It's not for some other hobbyists, but then they have other challenges.
My .02 for what it's worth.
