Giant NOTHING BURGER, we had a district in rural Armstrong county, that had the gay Rep from the North sides district up the Allegheny river, up the Kiski river, until it touched Southern Armstrong county, it was like 20 miles up river from Pittsburgh.

It was absolutely INSANE.

Both Parties do it, both parties are wrong, another reason I am a Libertarian.

Do it by county, and be done with it.

By county is a great idea that will NEVER happen. Look at the county maps in regard to red/blue, democrats/media (same thing) would never let it happen. Trump won what, 2500 or so counties vs Cumallah’s 400? The number of normal communities far outweigh the number of freakish ones with people living elbow to elbow in urban shitholes.

Exactly why representation by population is fundamentally wrong.

All those freeloaders vote to take OUR MONEY?

Fuck no.

One vote per township, one vote per county, one vote for President based on county votes.

3 to the rest of PA, three counties decide what the entire state is.

Time for change.
Representative Democracy.

... So, why don't YOU just admit that you're NOT looking
for a solution to end the gerrymandering?

... Save the site some bandwidth from the long-winded posts
on why it's wrong when Repubs do it.

... See? ... I surely 'ave a solution to it all.
I'll share it in a new thread. ...

Well, your solution is flawed. That's why we don't come to hooker boards looking for solutions on politics, religion, finances or dating tips.

Now, you agree all gerrymandering is wrong, yes?

Representative Democracy.
Representative of the county or township perhaps as an entity, but hardly representative of the constituents. This is the biggest flaw of the electoral college as is. It's NOT reflective of the populus when 100% of the EC votes go to the majority winner. It literally disenfranchises a VERY high percentage of voters. Winning voter blocks and then calling the whole as a win is flawed in both concept and action. I realize ultimately, it's a choice between usually 2 sides, but it's hardly representative in conclusion.

if 90% of the population lives in 3 counties, why would their vote get less consideration than if there is a lonely place like Mckeen county that would have the same or equal weight ? It's like saying 1 million is equal to 1000. It's not, and never will be.

Republicans either don't understand this, or don't want to understand this, because they'd never win another election if it was truly fair.

If everyone's vote actually counted equally to everyone else's, we'd never see another Republican POTUS. They know this. They need gerrymandering and the EC. It's the electoral equivalent of affirmative action.

Maybe you missed it. Trump won the popular vote and every state that was considered a tossup.

Then what's he so afraid of? Why is he meddling in the gerrymandering of Texas? I know why, but I'd love to hear your explanation.
