Zombie Ted Kennedy was gone in 15 months.
Remember them jumping through hoops to try to undo the way his replacement would be picked.
TFF and I'm glad that shithead is dead.

They are incredible.
With respect to the topic ... a friend of mine was just evaluated post brain cancer treatmentS and he's "clean" ... with no signs of the "doom and gloom" anecdotally reported ... even on this thread. I know him, and I know his attitude. I also know he went directly to MDA and didn't get sidetracked with the "egos" out there who pretend to be oncologists, who claimed to have "studied" there ... I'd rather have the PROFESSOR and his RESEARCH TEAM ... as opposed to an intern "graduate" of 10 years or even 20 years ago.

Some people survive Cancer at any age, any type at any stage. It depends not only on the treatment they receive, but how their immune system reacts to the treatment.

The stigma of having cancer is generally based on ignorance and the fear of it as well ... the surrounding support group (family and friends) makes a difference ... in creating a positive environment for the patient ... as opposed to the typical family/friend reaction of either distancing themselves (like its contagious) or smothering them with overtones of feeling sorry for the patient and thrusting them into family gatherings etc.
Example: Most of the staff with whom patients have regular contact at MDA (probably 90%) are cancer survivors, and as a consequence have a much better handle on creating a favorable psychological environment in which the patient can be treated.
Ones attitude can impact the effectiveness of their immune system.

Well of course, everything impacts the immune system. In fact that's what cancer essentially is, a dysfunction of the immune system. All of us have cancer cells within our body at any given time. Our Immune System works day and night monitoring and destroying cancer cells or any cell that it doesn't need or want. It's when our Immune system is taxed beyond it's capacity from toxins ect. that cancer begins to develop in the form of Neoplasms, which is an unnatural mass of tissue. That mass is the result of uncontrollable cell growth which can give rise to tumors. All the cells of the body react to the environment they are subjected too. So certainly negativity can cause and even worsen illness.

A simplistic view of it, but the basis for some recent innovations and "discoveries" in treatment of cancer. I suppose a major difference in the various facilities around the country (and overseas) is the "approach" to the cure. An advantage MDA has, as well as similar research hospitals, is being able to experiment more freely and use humans as a resource to experiment with their new concepts. The people I know who have been treated and survived went to MDA first, rather than as a "last resort" and IMO had those who went there as a last resort gone there in the beginning they would probably be alive today.
