Ha-ha ya. I love knowing when my regular clients have free time.
I can get a "thinking about u" text the night before and know "hey dont go grocery shopping around lunch time because Mr man may get his window" or " hey don't have a rw friend over because I won't be able to answer his call"
I get alot of " inquiry" PMS.. And that's nice to know people are interested...

I don't mean this as an attack, but your comment is total bullshit. There has been any number of times when I have asked a provider when she is available. Here's what followed.

Provider: Give me a time when you want to see me.

Me: Okay, how about Wednesday at 11:00 am?

Provider: I can't see you then. I'm available later that day or Thursday afternoon.

What the fuck? If a provider KNOWS when she is available, why can't she just say that in the first place? It would save everyone a LOT of time and trouble.

So I started asking for particular times/days. Revisit the dialog above, starting with my first query about Wednesday at 11:00 am. It ended the same way.

I no longer fuck with those dialogues. The minute I get that kind of bullshit, I move on. No offense, but I don't have the time or inclination for that stuff.

I don't pre - book , even if I get a discount, I'm always busy like everybody else, or what if I don't feel well the day of the appointment, I don't like to cancel, sorry but to me pre-book is kind of boring.

Reverse the genders in your story and that's what I get.

At 10:30am-

"I wanna see you anytime today you can see me"

"Great! How about 6:00pm?" (I wanna finish my laundry and Better Call Saul Binge darnit)

"Uhh the latest I can see you is 2:00pm." (Information I'd would have liked to begin with...)

"Ok, how about noon?"

"I'm in a meeting until 11:30."

(Takes deep breath)"Would you prefer 12:30 or 1:00pm?"

"1:00pm is Perfect!!!" (Well why didn't you say so from the beginning?)

It seems like we both are frustrated with same problem that both sides of the field have. Normally if pre-booking, I ask what parts of the day works best for them and give them morning, lunch, afternoon, or evening as their choices. Once I get an answer I offer them the choice of days that time span is available.

I think the thing that bothers me about "When are you available?" is how unspecific it is. Does that person mean today, this week, this month, or my general hours of availability?
