Well, I'll get the ball rolling.....

W is annoyingly good with words on the board, and employs various strategies (many underhanded) to prove his point. It's no wonder he has so many haters......

Though I've never met him in person, he gives the impression of an egomaniac. Who knows why he takes up any cause on the board? Is it strictly due to his sense of justice? I'm sure speculations are abound that he places his board reputation first and foremost (going back to ego....) above all else.


(Now keep all anti-Whispers campaigning away from the other thread)

I'm hatin' on Whispers because I had to go out and buy a new little red book to hold all the new Do Not See entries his threads create. I have to include reasons why I shouldn't see "provider X" or the little head overrules the big one and I go in for some disappointment. Ever happen to you? Happens to me...

Yeah, I have tangled with Whispers once or twice but I never got a flesh wound (ref. Monty Python skit) so I'm OK. I've realized the fastest way to disarm Whispers is to 'fess up to crime, do the time, and learn your lesson. It helps if you can avoid the crime again.

So here's the deal.

Go back and look at my post history with Whispers... aint't no way you're gonna call me his fan boy. At all. He still irritates me on occasion. However. Over our history, I have come to see that his intentions vis-a-vis the well-being of the hobby community are generally positive.

I don't know, I guess if this is more about "whose dick is the biggest", then you should continue to tilt the windmill to your amusement or personal aggrandizement. I admit that I did that for a while myself a few years back. But if you're into the hobby for the long haul and truly wonder how the pieces fit best, maybe take a step back and make an assessment. That's where I've been for the last little bit, honestly, and for now I'm coming down on Whisper's "side" of this brouhaha.

Give it a thought.

Maybe that's the difference... You seem to like the venom and controversy. I just happen to disagree with you on some things and will tell you. I'm not one to relish in STARTING controversy so thanks to the op for providing a venue for anyone who wants to spew venom but the lack of it here says a lot about the sa community. We'll disagree on issues but for the most part, avoid purely personal insults and attacks.

That's true for you, but it isn't true for some others such as Deere, Louigi, junkie and SG. Deere and Louigi have resorted to lots of name-calling and insults. Junkie's posts are almost exclusively attacks directed at W or anyone seen to share W's view. SG .....well.....check her last post about me.....
