So you know about the hayseed down at the AGWAY, and some levels of farming machinery- and that's all good. But there are lots of ways to electrify transport. Nobody said a giant cultivator or a tractor or harvester....those will likely always require a combustion engine due to the power needs and the method of getting power. But Trains are static and only run on specific tracks. That's what I was referring to; along with all the other operations of things that support raising farm livestock. Those are all electric motors that do work. fans, milkers, and lights- and even some heaters, - and electric fences...hmm ...what do all those run on??

It's ok to admit when you know I'm right.

Tractors and other non-static equipment will and should be combustion- but the other stuff.....YEP.

you know what it is.

That’s all well and good but meaningless unless we go balls out building nuclear power plants. Currently the power provided to run something like an electric train is primarily generated by burning fossil fuels. Sure, there are other advantages to electric, but it’s still always most efficient to use the source power as close to, and converted as few times as possible, to its final mechanical output. There’s no such thing as 100% efficiency. If there was we could build ginormous perpetual motion machines and never drill another drop.
