Default Rodram and others, by our leader's orders.

New Thread as Ordered---------------

Rodram, defunding Planned Parenthood or developing a green energy solution both present the same problem. Too little too late. They are both good ideas but they needed to have teeth twenty years ago. Neither have the force of law. Clancy brought this up in The Teeth of the Tiger when he had a priest stop an abortion in China. We will either control population or we will be face Malthus. Earth is overpopulated and either we stop copulating or we stop eating. With due respect to Maslow’s hierarchy, I would rather eat than fuck, but this is not true of large portions of our pale blue dot.

Planned Parenthood has some good ideas but they are indeed part of the problem. Took my pregnant GF into the one on San Pedro thirty years ago with her looking for an abortion and she was turned away. I sent her to New York where a more liberated group was available.

We should have been thinking Green thirty years ago. The idea at that time was considered radical. Now it is necessary. Necessary but too late, the earth is out of resources.

It may be too late but the Earth just like a dog with fleas will shake off the problem. I don’t see humanity lasting more than a couple of more generations.

Getting back to the topic that started this thread; fracking is a way to extract more from almost dead petroleum bearing strata. San Antonio is built over, what was once one of the great petroleum deposits. There is still some down there and I expect us to frack the strata but fear nuclear fracking will be the answer. That will not only screw up the Edwards Aquifer but also cause my house foundation to crack. I think I will move to Corpus where The South Texas Blonde likes to play in the sand.

Obviously you've read the debate between I and rakhir, so I would like your opinion on whether I should've made more clearly the perspective on which I was basing my dissent to his and the Petroleum Industries position on Fracking.

At one point in my exchange with rakhir, I began to sense that rakhir was defending the Fracking process and its reliability drawing from his implementation of safety guidelines and oversight as a partner or owner of a company that had extracted gas using this process. I, on the other hand, was being critical of Big Oil and citing their record of negligence as proof positive supporting my argument against Fracking.

Recognizing that rakhir was in some respects a local entrepreneur, I made the assumption, and rightfully so I think, that he would have a heightened sense of social and environmental responsibilities due to the state of Texas and the San Antonio area that Big Oil would not, therefore making it difficult to come to consensus on this issue. What do you think and was I on track with my observation?

As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned and on the basis of a woman's right to make decisions concerning her own body and the health issues women encounter, I will never understand why anyone would be so opposed to Planned Parenthood. Its this kind of ideological driven insanity that I just can't help but speak out against when I see it or hear it.

Why not move to a more liberal state where liberal idealogical insanity exists? I'm from TEXAS what country are you from? The silent majority has awaken and its just the beginning. Look at california and new york then take a good gander at TEXAS. We are in way better shape because of our conservative values, now grant it I participate in this fantasy land with my hobby but I still for the most part have some sort of morals. I battle the demons of temptation and a lot of times they win, but LIFE begins at the moment of conception. Throughout time man puts up walls and makes up rules to seperate himself from moral values. Just look at our society today,no substance just immoralities. Unfortunately that sales. If a woman finds herself in a planned parenthood office looking for an abortion she shouldnt have opened her legs irresponsibly. There is always adoption. As for green energy it all comes back to natural resources that are used to develope said energy. So if I had it my way I'd DRILL BABY DRILL! It is impossible to overpopulate the earth bacause people die everyday, do you realize how old the earth is? We are just visiting for a bit. Those are my .02 God Bless TEXAS. especially TEXAS WOMEN!

I always find the depletion of resources, overpopulation, availability of food and basic gloom and doom predictions rather amusing. I seem to recall vividly the predictions of mass starvation and overpopulation arguments of the 70"s when I was in school. However, every one of these arguments were always predicated on everything remaining in stasis. They never took into account the accelerating curve of human knowledge and scientific breakthroughs. Imagine trying to feed the world today with the practices and equipment of even 30 years ago? It can't be done!

If science were to remain static I too would probably have bought into those doom sayer arguments but somewhere someone or group will always find a solutions to make those arguments impractical.

Besides we can alway start Soylent Green Thursdays if need be! LOL

First allow me to preempt an apology to OldTiger and flinde. I understand what you guys are saying even though this is the Sandbox and there are 10 other forums that are solely dedicated to the hobby.
I'll eviscerate this guy with only one reply and after that I won't respond to him anymore I promise. I also won't start any political threads and give it a rest as I have promised.

RobbThrobb,
"Why not move to a more liberal state where liberal idealogical insanity exists?"
You do know that South Texas, including Austin and San Antonio, votes overwhelmingly democratic and that our neighbor Austin is considered one of the most liberal cities in the country.
Houston has an openly gay woman as a mayor and before her a term limited Bill White whose a staunch democrat from San Antonio.
When was the last time San Antonio voted for a Republican Mayor or even had one as a choice?
No my friend, I am very comfortable here promoting the truth.

"The silent majority has awaken and its just the beginning."
Your boy Perry has been Gov for 10 years and your just awakening?!?
Yep, that makes sense.

"now grant it I participate in this fantasy land with my hobby but I still for the most part have some sort of morals."
One word: HYPOCRITE

"Throughout time man puts up walls and makes up rules to seperate himself from moral values. Just look at our society today,no substance just immoralities. Unfortunately that sales."
One word: HYPOCRITE.
This is what I can't stand about your god, you can be as hypocritical as you are and still get a free pass so long as you denounce yourself to whomever(until next week) and then demonize everyone else.

"If a woman finds herself in a planned parenthood office looking for an abortion she shouldnt have opened her legs irresponsibly."
Holy Shit!! And you're saying this in front of our providers that sacrifice so much just to pleasure your sorry ass?!?

'DRILL BABY DRILL!"
You would actually quote the Alaskan Chillbilly a.k.a. Bible Spice, Snow Snookie, The Klondike Kardashian, Caribou Barbie, SARAH FAILIN" and my all-time favorite, MOOSELINI in public?!?

"it is impossible to overpopulate the earth bacause people die everyday"
ROFLMAO!

"do you realize how old the earth is?"
Yes I do and I bet you think it's about 6,000 yrs old huh?

OK, THANK YOU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS ENDS OUR COMEDY EXTRAVAGANZA FOR TODAY AND HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!

Just an interesting observation about the abortion topic: The Freakanomics guys found that in the early 70's with the crime rate on the rise, all experts predicted it to only increase into the 80's and 90's. But when the time came, it stayed the same in most areas and actually lowered in some. Police and politicians of course, all took responsibilty, saying they had stepped up forces and implemented new tactics. But the real reason: Roe v. Wade!!

Very well put, I'm sure that has some bearing on the crime rate

Rodram, in answer to your three implied questions in post #2.

---------------YES----------------

Rakhir, it taste like people.
I LOVE BIG BROTHER

Flinde, we are Texans, we never forget. In search of the strange.
I will never forget when I was 15 and learned that Asian pussy was not horizontal.

Flinde, she was at Centerfolds about three years ago. She was staying at the Warren House and I had a session with her. I think I did a review. Don't recall her name but she is still bodatious.

Enjoy Shooter and fire-up those Commodore 64 and Atari 800 boxes you have because they in fact hold the true historical factoids without today's myths and SWAGs relating to Planned Parenthood. It was so much easier in the days when a classmate went to live with her uncle and aunt for the remainder of the school year.
