You can't "flee" anywhere. This isn't the 1700s or 1800s. There is no place to get lost.

You can't take your company and real estate with you to New Zealand.

You might be able to escape rioters, but how are you going to escape a 70% tax on your earned income above $2M per year by leaving the country? How are you going to escape a 35% capital gains tax on your holdings by leaving the country?

In order to keep earning big money, you have to stay connected and involved in your company. And that puts you within reach of the taxman and the law.

If you are willing to give up future earnings and live off the savings that you have squirreled away in Swiss bank accounts, you can escape to New Zealand and live a reduced life style.

But how do you do that if you are a hedge fund guy, a CEO, or a business owner and your wealth is tied up in investments or in your business?

T. Roosevelt praised legal tax avoidance as being patriotic. Maybe those rich should stand their ground, stop giving money to dems and rhinos, and flood this country's government buildings with tax cutting, spending cutting conservatives.
