I've been perusing your reviews. (Excellent, by the way.) I've been a diehard independent customer. But now I'm going to have to dip my toe into the world of agencies. Looks like you've seen 'em all. Where should I start?

(My last venture into the world of agencies was back when Junior was doing his thing. And my Spanish is terrible.)

Bpops and agencies? It just doesn't sound right. It has some of us nervous. Change is never good. In fact, maybe the Mayans were just off by 6 months. I swear, if Bpop posts a review about a CBJ that was "as good as the real thing" then you need to tell your loved ones good bye, huddle up and wait for the giant meteor to hit.

Texag, I've thought long and hard about this. I've seen a number of girls from the latina agencies go indy - that tells me that they're not being coerced. That was always my big complaint about agencies - can't tell which ones are coercing and which aren't, and I didn't want to be a part of any business where women are being forced against their will. I'm still going to avoid the AMP scene.

The other factor that's leading me in this direction is the difficulty in scheduling short lead time appointments with my favorite indys. About half the time when I have a hobby window open up in 2-3 hours I'm unable to set an appointment. Considering how rarely I have time to hobby, this isn't much fun.

What I'd love to find is the modern equivalent of Escape or Wildflowers, without the high profile that brings the wrong kind of attention. Attractive women, good service, reasonable prices, and great short notice availability. Probably not going to happen in 2013, but it doesn't hurt to look.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still going to see my favorite indys, and I look forward to meeting new ones as well. But I'm looking at other options. We'll see how it goes.
