So I am recently divorced and live in a nice wooded area in the Woodlands in a 2 bedroom apartment. I picked that place because of the trail. I walk Waffles there off leash now like 5 times a day. Waffles sleeps and constantly cuddles with me but since it's just me and Waffles now I created Waffles own cat sanctuary in the other room so Waffles can come and go as she pleases.

So yesterday I was nostalgic and wanted company. So I planned a 2 hour date with a well known provider. I let her know in advance that I have a beautiful cat there but during the duration of our date Waffles would be in her cat room with the door closed. She said she loves cats. So fast forward Waffles and I are cuddling on the couch waiting on her because she was 10 minutes late. Knock on the door comes so I run to the door with Waffles in my arms.

Open the door, smile at her and said let me put Waffles up in her cat sanctuary. Close the door and she's looking at me with a puzzled look, saying I thought the cat would be put up. I said I just did. She said you said the cat would be away the whole time. I didn't want to be an ass and say you are 10 minutes late. Mind you I'm paying a nice donation plus outcall fee. So I go take a shower. Come out opened a fresh bottle of wine, paid the full 2 hour plus outcall fee and she is still asking me why the cat wasn't put up. At this point I'm getting a tad bit offended because what did I do. After like 14 minutes of awkwardly holding our wine I just told her this isn't going to work. Keep the whole money and just go home. She rolls her eyes and out the door she goes. Then she texts me saying she'll tell all her provider friends to not see me because I'm a lying asshole. i didn't respond. What could I have done better in that situation? I'm the one out of the whole donation.
