It's understandable that you would assume this thread was motivated by your post in the DATY thread, but it's just as likely that it was Lynn responding to what transpired in the Protocol thread. I'll let her speak to what her motivations truly were.

You're right, your post in the DATY thread was not a scolding in any way, it was simply a reminder that the original poster asked a question that seemed to be getting lost in the banter, and we'd do him a favor if we got things back on track. No harm done. So if Lynn was responding to your comment in that thread, she was off base, in my opinion.

But if she was responding to what occurred in the Protocol thread, then i tend to agree with her. The direction to get back on track was a bit more heavy handed in that thread....and i think there's a difference between a thread being purposely hijacked, and a thread naturally veering into a different direction - as Lynn alludes to. I would suspect that only a small minority of threads have no posts that veer off track from the original post. So if that's what inspired her to post, then your comments here are unfortunate.

Ultimately, being one who hates conflict, i hope the two of you can kiss and make up. And let us watch!

This is why I posted, many threads here get steered and people get all worked up.. I just have the balls or shall I say "lips" to talk about it.. They are even fun discussions not alerts or something of a serious nature..

Although even in the DATY thread was still basically on topic as a discussion about DATY.. things will always steer in different directions as we all see things different and have different thoughts on a subject.

How will you learn anything new if you dont look from all sides? Im an outside the box thinker, a leader not a follower. Knowledge is power.
