Girls you need to see whats called a DD form 214.
There are alot of people who might have a VA id card...but may not be a vet.

Boo, who would have a VA ID card and not be a vet?

I just require some form of ID that shows they were in the service. One guy showed me his boot camp pic! That was good enough for me to give him the discount!

I agree with s4u and I have a VA card and I am a Vet. Who readily has their DD214 on hand and would the average civie know what it is.....? But, BD, I get it, there are bound to be some slicksters looking for a discount.

@bigdeal - a va employee ID card looks quite different from a va medical card. Google is helpful in discerning the difference.
