What a movie. Probably my sleeper hit of the year. Top 2 or 3 for sure for 2018. Really enjoyed it.

Caught up on a few movies worth seeing...

Bad Times at the El Royale was excellent! One of my tops of the year if not my favorite this year. Hard to beat that one.

House with a Clock in it's Walls was very entertaining. If you like Jack Black, Dark Fantasy, or something to take the kids to, this one was fun.

Halloween was simply one of the better ones since the original movies with Jamie Lee Curtis. I still am a huge fan of Rob Zombie's first one, but this one is right with the classics and Rob's. Great to see Michael Myers back in action.

Movies for the rest of the year. Next on the list...

Overlord
The Girl in the Spider's Web
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald
Ralph Breaks the Internet
Robin Hood
Outlaw King
Aquaman
Mortal Engines
Vice (Most Anticipated Film) - Bale should win Best Actor for this.

See the Cohens are coming out with another Western.

And I would love to see the Laurel and Hardy picture.

I wish I had felt the same way about Halloween - but I was straight up trying to stay awake - and I’m not one of those who falls asleep in the theater either, lol.

The first half was boring and slow to me - and I found the second half rather anticlimactic. You can totally see how they set it up for the granddaughter, and a continuance of the story, though.

If we hadn’t been completely surrounded in a packed theater...I would’ve found a much better way to entertain my lover and I...

I just remember how terrible Halloween Resurrection was along with H20. Worst of the modern movies and glad they are no longer part of that universe. Part 4 through 6 are not very good either in the 90s. Hence my comment about being on par with the Rob Zombie films and better of them all since the original movies. Even the original films had similar pacing. Watched them recently, and the new one has more action in the beginning. I was just glad to see a much better film than anything they have tried since part 2. I like the zombie versions myself as well.

I was in an empty theater, perhaps you'll have to go with me if a particular film does not strike you. I could always catch up later on a film if I miss anything lol.

But that is not 2018 though. Lol. Totally looking forward to it however. It's my most anticipated film overall.
