Default Ole Bernie Let The Cat Out Of The Bag.

When asked if the taxes on middle class Familly would go up in order to pay for his Medicare for all, Bernie said....."yes, but it would be offset by the savings in insurance premiums.

What about those that don't get sick?

This is what doomed the Mandate in ObamaCare. Young people who had no need for health insurance were asked to pay anyway or else.

Somebody has to pay, and there isn't enough billionaires to tax in order to satisfy the hungry beast.

The best point made all night was by Gov Delaney who said why tear up a good system where 138,000,000 million people were happy with their private health to satisfy the needs of about 10,000,000.

No applause from the audience.

Ask anyone in healthcare how much stuff medicare DOESN'T pay for.
Even basic stuff like an ankle wrap is out of pocket.
I've worked in an orthopedics clinic before.

Medicare it self only pays when you are hospitalized supplement Ins is suppose to cover the rest if you want to see what government run healthcare will be like just go visit your local VA hospital

Oh there are some that are like ward hospitals. No private rooms and no private bathrooms. The bathrooms were down the hall for everybody to use. And if you just came out of surgery ( after intensive care) your ass was just dumped on the ward in a triage system. Some of those hospitals were older then dirt. Yep, you hit the nail on the head.

That's the catch with free Government Health Insurance they only pay for just the basic of services and Medications. Like the old saying goes "You get what you Pay For" I wish these blow outs would leave us all alone.

If we go with government healthcare we better force all the doctors to donate substantial time for free because many of them will say fuck it and quit.

In which country has that happened, Fred?

My “government” insurance is accepted by far more doctors and other healthcare providers than my private plans ever were.

I was watching a BBC series last week called Silk. A character was an early 40s man who had some money and some local influence. His doctor suspected he may have prostate cancer and wanted to get him looked at quickly by a specialist. Maybe 3 months away...(and he started to coach his patient) unless he had a close family member with prostrate cancer...yes! My father...and he was unnddeerr 50, yes, he was 49. Excellent, we can probably get you in next week. He was dying when the series came to an end.
I thought that was an interesting commentary on government rationed healthcare.

You seriously are not worried about losing Doctors if they are conscripted into Medicaid for all and can't get private patients?

The money they make off of private payers enables them to help out old timers at a loss.

Old Fool, that's for sure. He probably farts dust, lol. He's in the 1% but but talks about wealth inequality. This is his last go around politically along with Biden. They both will be forgotten relics before long.

notice that Bernie, while a 1 percenter, isn't wealthy enough to be affected by his own tax proposals. interesting yes?

what's the word i'm looking for here?
