Default Random Question: Lawyer Inquiry

Hoping it's ok to post this here and ask a quick question.
I have a friend that lives in a toxic mold infested apartment that also has a sewage overflow problem, and her Slumlord doesn't care.
Does anyone know a Lawyer that handles these types of cases and would hear her out ?
I'm no lawyer, she's got lots of supporting documentation and pics.
Thanks.

I would contact public housing 1st, dear..

They'll start with a mediation first, they should be able to help you from there with resources..

You should be able to step up and help her out since yall are clearly fucking. If you cant help by being more useful and resourceful she should consider kicking you to the curb.

you're welcome

#1 - Has she read her lease agreement?

If yes, has she followed all of what the lease agreement states for resolution to the problem?

If not, the first thing to do is read the lease and then follow what it states to the letter of the agreement and document everything. This is probably a whole lot less expensive than hiring a lawyer.

As so many professionals have stated: If it is not documented, it did not happen.

The above is not intended to be legal advice but common sense suggestions. If you want legal advice, find a lawyer that is licensed in the state in which you have your issue.

If you find a lawyer and he does not ask you if you have read and understand your lease, I would look for a different lawyer.

I won't go into too much details, but had a issue when I flew out to Florida back in October.. One of my family members were in my house when I left, and got a phone call that disturbed me..

I googled what could I do, called and spoke with them.. I don't live in section 8 nor have I ever..

Edit: Guess I did say the wrong name lmao, contact the Apartment Association..

Public housing and Section 8 is the same thing, I said it wrong but it's been corrected.. "The apartment association"..

She'll have to fill out that form that's in that link I sent, for the mediation.

If they are low income (or prove that they are) Lone Star Legal will represent for free.

I get a feeling that these apartments are not ran/overseen by the apartment association since he said "slumlord" which makes this sound more like a "landlord" rather then an apartment management company, so with that being said, her best bet would be lone star legal aid.

I'm guessing since you are pretty much brand new on the board, attorneys aren't going to be PMing you and offering her help, which makes sence, why would they "out" their self like that?

Your best bet on Eccie is to head over to the legal forums and divulge more details about where she lives and if it is a single person or a management company that is responsible for her apartment.

You say this because you know me or know anything about this situation.
What do you think I'm doing dumb ass ? What makes you think I'm a loser like you and just talk shit and hide behind a computer. Not everything is about fucking you idiot, there are people that at times need a hand. And we already have too many of you, always needing something in return in order to lend a helping hand. It's because of miserable, self centered, arrogant closed minded fucks like you, that this country is going to shits.
