Holy shit Batman!! Craigslist just canned the personals section!! Must have just happened late this afternoon. Apparently cause the Senate passed bill 1865 dealing with sex trafficking. Yes, there was a ton of spamon craigslist personals, but there also were legitimate people looking for other people, consensual, non monetary encounters!

Craigslist did this once before in the escort section, but the personal section is now gone also.

Seen that to, figured others may soon follow. Plus in other areas they are starting to charge for more posts. Before long they'll start charging to sell or post for jobs.

Maybe I should clarify (as best I remember) and some background . . .

There used to be a really good Board forum run by Bradley which Bradley shut down because of threatened legal action as I recall. Then BP (hope I can use that) which had an Escort section shut the Escort section down due to federal legislation. Providers switched to advertising under Women seeking Men on BP. That is still up and running as of now.

Yesterday, Craigslist shut down ALL personal ad sites due to federal legislation 1865. A 3 word review forum where providers could advertise is still up and running, but that review forum shut down it's US area where providers can advertise. That particular review forum now only has ads for providers from other countries, not from the US as it previously did.

Obviously ECCIE is up and running, and hopefully continues.

You can't dial 911, but a similar site is up and running.

Hope I'm not going outside of terms of use with my mentioning other sites as I have here, mods can fix it if I have. But it's not just a Craigslist thing. It's due to national legislation being voted on by congress.

Alternative meeting places guys and gals?????

So much has been killed off.
TER USA ad sections, Cityvibe completely, NightShift completely, provider ads on BestGFE ... etc etc etc.
There's still TNAboard, here, P411 and even Eros has a section for North Dakota.
And yes more in the last few months really have been gravitating to Twitter and Instagram ... Switter (https://switter.at) could be another resource also (you don't have to be as G-rated on there like Twitter & IG).

Did Backpage women seeking men get removed, or is it a temporary hiccup? I read earlier this afternoon that someone else had seen a Backpage announcement that the feds had taken over it, Backpage continue to work after that, but I now get a 404 error saying that it's not available. What's up?
