Default Dead end trip to Juarez

Crossed over to Juarez yesterday about 2pm with intentions to hit Genesis and Stoya.
Right off the start things seemed off. It was dead over there which was weird for a Friday afternoon.
Alot of the businesses in the area were already closed. The Michoacana fruit stand where you meet your Uber rides was closed which it never is.
Met my Uber ride and on the way to Genesis he told me about the shootings and arsons from the day before which explained why the city was shut down and on high alert.
Got dropped of by Genesis and when I walked over the gates were chained up. So I got another Uber for Stoya hoping they were open. But same story there, the iron rolling doors into the parking lot were also locked.
I ended up just catching an early dinner at Villa del Mar and headed back across.
Hopefully things settle down soon and they all open up again.
Probably best to call ahead before crossing to make sure they are open.
Above all be safe and aware of your surroundings down there for now.
