Default Is there a way board management can review one of the rules?

I'm talking about rule #28.

#28 - On occasion, we may lose a valuable member of our community as a result of an unexpected accident, natural causes, or other various circumstances. The grieving process when these situations arise is often difficult and ECCIE has established a procedure to follow in such cases to protect the memory and more importantly the anonymity of our deceased member. A brief announcement will be made to inform the membership and honor the deceased member's contributions here without revealing any circumstances that may jeopardize the privacy of any of the parties involved. It will be immediately locked, and no further discussion allowed.

Is there a way the board management can take another look and maybe update this rule. Maybe lighten up a little bit and when someone passes away like a post in Houston, we all have a couple of days to say good bye, as long as nothing personal is posted.

Personally I believe the rule is extremely effective. Why change it? I'm personally not nostalgic about anyone I meet here. Looking for a good time and that's it. Let people die in peace and have respect for the real people in their lives who don't want nostalgia about them on a hooker review board. I personally don't want this to be my claim to fame.....so I believe the rule shouldn't change and am happy eccie has this in place

I agree D_J, I think it would be nice for us to say goodbye.

Pit, I would hope that the "real people in their lives" do not know of this site!

The title of this forum is Questions for the Staff. Are you now a staff member? I don't need some narcissistic sociopath getting involved with a thread when asking a staff member a question. You've barely been on this site for a year and your horrible attitude proceeds you.

I've had around 10 members, male and female, who've I really liked and cared for pass away over the 22 years I've been around. Even though I can't say goodbye in the real world, I would like to know if they have passed away and maybe tell a hobby story or two about a person I liked.

Such threads are usually left open for a day or so before being closed.
It usually never fails. Someone will post more info than needs to be posted or questions will be asked that lead to more personal info being posted. When only condolences should be posted and that's it
