I got to Wichita on Thurs night. Was going to continue to KC then DSM. But I could not find a decent hotels and found out the NRHA was in town (Topeka) Why I had no idea all of the hotels went double.

Anyhow, then I realized it is a Memorial Day weekend and most of gents will be off and spend time w/ family and friends instead. So, that decision was made based up on these facts I turned around and went back home to OKC on Friday.

Last but not least, Since Friday OKC had been getting more rains and rained out!

Sat (yesterday) was the worst I've ever seen and was on the road normally speed at 65 MPH. I was only going 35 MPH and it was flooding, pouring rains with Tornados warning and poor visibility. After got home and discovered the water pumps at my condo had failed. (one of it) That caused the flooding and it flooded my condo. Water had got inside to my living room, carpet, hallway closet and part of bedroom wall.

Glad now that I didn't make the journey to be farther away from home. I believe all things happens for a reasons and the reason was to "GO HOME" to take care of things.

Oooouch. Sorry to hear that. Its been a really crazy spring. Was thinking of trip in your neck of the woods but might put that on hold due to the crazy weather. Glad you made it back home safely.

Thanks Kay! It had been a wet & Wild spring. More rain coming in the next 10 days forecast. Water got very high now in all creeks, lakes, etc. Ground is now soaking wet and could not absorb water any more so, it created the flooding. After water subsided some places left w/ a sink hole that is so big to fit a car in. So, wait out for a bit is good. I think late June will get better warmer and dryer. This May month is slow in OKC w/ graduation and Memorial weekend.
