the Superintendent of DISD schools said they were planning a lot of online schooling already, before the pandemic.. scheduled for 2022. I imagine many schools will adapt to online, cut a ton of overhead, local tax rates should drop accordingly.

However, it isn't clear from this and similar reports that Tesla plans to move all of its production to the Austin area; only some of it (possibly only the Model Y and the "CyberTruck"). Presumably, Tesla may choose to split its operations between the Austin area and other location(s) in Texas, or even in any of several other states, including Nevada.
