Unfortunately this is the bad part after winning with a quarterback like Ben for so long. Then you appease the ego and then suffer being bad after the hero rides off into the sunset.

At least we’ve had 2 and 6SBs. Better than most teams.

That is a trade off worth it. Scouting is always key.

You have to stink to get a shot at the best QBs in the draft. Not many great QBs get traded. Montana and Manning were at the end of their careers. Brees has a serious shoulder injury and the Chargers drafted Rivers. Or, you can get lucky like Belichek. If he thought Brady was going to be as great as he turned out, he wouldn’t have waited until the 6th round to draft him.

I heard from someone very close to the Steelers that the group of outside investors are exerting a lot of pressure on the Rooneys to make wholesale changes in the coaching staff.

Yes! LOL. It is tough rooting for the brownies but they have had some exciting games this year.

They can bitch about coaching all they want. When your HOF QB leads the league in interceptions and your kicker has the most misses, you’re lucky to go 9/6/1. Take those mistakes out of the equation and they’re 13/3. Regardless of what happens Tomorrow, Tomlin won’t be fired. Butler seems like the scapegoat. Big deal. Rumor has it Tomlin has been calling the defense.

I put the blame for this mess squarely on the front office. Had they dealt Bell for whatever you could have gotten in multiple picks before free agency you would have been able to use that money for lunch box type defensive help. That secondary is horrible. But now the mess is bigger than the gm.

Time for a down to the studs renovation.

I don’t think the offense needs much renovation. Ben has to cut down on the turnovers. Need a new kicker. They need secondary help and a stud ILB. DuPree has been a disappointment. Replace him. They have the Bell money now. They can sign some proven defensive players along the lines of Joe Hayden. Forget firing Tomlin, Rooney just ain’t doing it. He might insist that Tomlin bring in a new staff. One can only hope Tomlin refuses to and resigns. His arrow is pointing down.

Going to be interesting to see what changes are coming tomorrow. Black Monday has already begun with a hat trick of firings.

Who is tuning into the playoffs this weekend? I know I will be scouting tomorrow and Sunday while my Patriots await their opponent.
