My ECCIE Reviews
Question In what ways has your demeanor changed as a result of the demimonde?

Earlier this Summer, I celebrated my third year as a companion and reflected on the ways in which I've changed since entering this world.

Some of these changes have to do with sexual desires that were once just distant fantasies that I've since gotten to fulfill. Also, I've acquired or fine-tuned some outside of the bedroom life skills.

My personal reflections got me thinking about what shifts others may have noticed whether you've been a client or companion for a short time or decades. How has the demimonde changed you?

Wow, that's an interesting question! I doubt that I can answer it very completely on short notice. "I reserve the right to revise and extend my remarks, Madam Speaker ..."

I've been in the demimonde just a bit longer than you have; the end of October will be my fourth anniversary. I'd say that how I've changed can be summed up as the loss of various illusions. To start with, sex workers have been "de-mystified" for me. I imagined them in a couple of ways (completely conflicting, of course -- who says illusions are supposed to be logical?). I imagined them as some sort of hypersexual supernatural beings who kind of float in and out of bed, without their feet ever touching the floor. I also imagined (and this was prominent in my fears, after I finally made my first appointment but before I went to it ... and that was a period of about three months, because I assumed her calendar was so full I needed to make my arrangements THAT far in advance) that she'd turn out to be unbelievably crude and brassy, uneducated and pretty stupid, undoubtedly a smoker no matter what she claimed in her profile, and that while I'd be having intercourse with her, she'd be popping her gum and saying, "whassamatter, honey, ain'tcha done YET?" I might add here, for those of you who've ever met Elisabeth Whispers, how waaaay past ridiculous that picture is! So, you realize very quickly, if you have a pulse and an IQ above room temperature, that sex-working women are, first and foremost, "regular" women. Women who have children, sometimes real-world significant others, bills to pay, aging parents, and, you know, the same issues that face me and pretty much everyone else. I've often thought that I've undoubtedly seen and met a lot more sex workers than I know about, just because I've spent time in public places. I bet more than a few of the nice ladies for whom I've held the door open at the coffee shop either are doing or have done sex work. They don't have glowing signs on their foreheads, saying so, that's all.

Other illusions that have bitten the dust include the idea that people are naturally monogamous, and that monogamy is the proper state for everyone. Also, that sex always leads to love -- it can, but mostly doesn't. And, generally, I'm more aware that there's a whole big long continuum of pleasant feelings that a man can have for a woman, going from casual friendliness and appreciation, through many different temperatures of affection, to "in love" type love. All of which are good, and all of which are compatible with having sex.

[Added by edit: another illusion that's gone away is that women doing sex work are swimming in wealth. Uh-uh. Just the opposite, sad to say.]

And that's what comes to mind after a few minutes' thought.

Do you really think it's that common? It seems odd to me that you assume that a large percentage of women are sex workers. Are you not, in some way, objectifying them by assuming that?

According to some studies 1% of women in the USA have sold sex for money at least one time. Also estimates that merely .1% are currently active in the sex industry. So, I do not think you hold tooany doors open for prostitutes at a coffee shop.

A lot of people post from their heart here not their brain. I try to learn truth and post it not just my conjecture and it pisses people off, lol. That is called denial.

Interesting though that between 15 to 20% of men in the USA have paid for sex at least once.

Hence 100,00 women are active in industry could be servicing as much as 20,000,000 men. Yep, $1k a day very easy to make.

The majority of women do not suck dick for money, vast majority by that info.

Not sure what the number 100,00 represents, but if it was meant to be 1,000,000, that's 1 woman for 20 men. And the men may not repeat or be steady regulars.

Sorry, I missed one zero, approximately 100,000 not 1,000,000 are currently active selling sex. That's 200 men for every woman not 20.

One hundred thousand active prostitutes. Eccie here has about 3,200 prostitutes listed but that is also not just the USA, but vast majority in USA and over 50% of the 3,200 women are in Texas. But that is because website I think initiated in Texas. Point is this website is a very small percentage of the sex industry and if you only see well reviewed eccie ladies than you have a small sample of the true picture.

To answer OP question. I learned how addictive this life style can be for both provider and hobbyist.

Where else can a lady with little training and skills or even a lady with occupational skills make $1k in a day all tax free? Hard to walk away from that kind of money. That life style that money brings. The autonomy, no boss, work few hours if want to, and set own schedule while making stacks of cash.

Hobbyists can for a few bucks get fellatio, CIM, any position they want, COF, COB, Greek, anything his perverted mind wants for relatively few dollars. He finds a lady in real world and she is beautiful, but not into cum all over her or fellatio or pleasing heran after time. He knows where to get dirty little play time. Hard for him to walk away from that as well.

Kind of like walking away from the "drink." Not so easy for most people.

What good comes from this addictive life style? Perversion satisfied for the man. Finances satisfied for the woman and that is everything. No where is either in a state of euphoria. Woman has emotional problems usually, not all of them. Men have problems in relationships as over time get used to objectifying women. Sticky situation. That is what I have learned.

OK, I wanted to be sure before I called you out.

I looked up census info for MY stats. I rounded numbers, but basically tried to be accurate. I used ages 20-59, data for 18 -19 y/o were included with under 18, so they were left out.

53.8% of women in the US are in the 20-59 age range. Out of 163M women, that's about 88M. 1% would be 880,000, not 100,000.

I am relaying info from a study listed on Procon.com and 1% had sold their body for but currently active is point one percent or .1%.
Using your numbers that would be 88,000 active women. The articles numbers had 1% equaling about one million women, so if point one percent are active would be 100,000 active prostitutes.

I did not compile the data nor verify its accuracy nor your data. Who knows with complete precision the number but both show a low number of prostitutes, not a large percentage, so can safely say not opening door at coffee shop for prostitutes. Vast majority of women or 99% have never sold pussy and 99.9% are not active in sex industry. That's my poin, most women are not prostitutes and never have been.

This I agree with, but I was focusing more on your belief of the 20M men, and escorts should be making 1k per day.

Prostitutes are prob a little bit different from your average, everyday girl that you might find shopping at Walmart, studying in a university classroom, dancing at a bar or drinking at a coffee shop. That's what makes them intriguing. It's part of their charm and mystique. She is a voodoo high priestess. She is a prophetess. She is an angel and a demon, rapped together with a scarlet bow.

Same article mentioned men being 15M to 20M that have paid for sex, no numbers given for men actively seeking sex for money, so maybe I misled the reader. The potential according to this one study is 200 men for each prostitute. That is the high number, could be 150 men to each prostitute, or could be 1% still active. Or as low as 15 men to each prostitute.

Although I believe only from my limited experience that more women leave this life style on a while than men. But that is conjecture and speculation.

Again just passing along info I read in one article. Making $1k a day in the math alone shows not difficult. I have seen women earn over $2k in a day but that is not average. I have seen doxwntaries where prostitutes are interviewed and claim $1k not hard to earn in a day and I have seen it from several ladies but my experience and a documentary is very limited. The math is the math and pure logic.

Lena, How has the demimonde changed me?

She's put a big smile on my face and extra lift in my step.

She's made me appreciate my life more.

She's allowed me to meet so many beautiful women.

Thank you for asking!
