Default Solar Ecipse August 21 2017... ready?
I posted something about this on the Tennessee board since there are areas there that will have a 100% solar ecilpse but after looking at the charts and maps, Mississippi ain't gonna be so bad either.

Here's the path:


Mississippi is in the 85-90 percent range so it will still be interesting in the state.

I've already ordered and recieved some NASA approved solar-viewing glasses. If you plan on looking, study and order now so you can see it without blinding yourself.

Also, a member in TN gave this website: https://eclipsemega.movie/. Use that to see how much of your area will see of the solar eclpise plus the times and what to expect. And PLEASE do not look at the sun without approved glasses! I want you to be able to see the next stupid thing I post!

This is a rare, fun event and I hope everyone enjoys it safely.

Oh my, you just reminded me of one of my favorite Mark Twain books - "A Yankee in King Arthur's Court." A time traveler saves his own ass by knowing that a solar eclipse is about to happen.

You just gave me an idea... I'll be out doing things when it happens and hopefully I run into someone that doesn't know it about and tell them that it's asteroid heading for Earth.
