Horror Movies
I love horror movies. Anyone else? Recent and semi-recent favorites for me have been Hereditary, Get Out, A Quiet Place, It Comes at Night, The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
Who else is a horror fan? Seen anything good lately. The one frustrating thing to me as a horror fan is there is so much BAD horror out there to wade through it makes it hard to find the hidden gems.
I'm really wanting to see Jordan Peele's new one, "Us" after the fantastic job he did with Get Out.

I love them, as well. Haven’t seen any good ones recently except those you named, but I didn’t see the last one.
Ones I’ve seen that I’ve watched multiple times in the recent past and really enjoyed: Stakeland, 30 Days of Night, and Let Me In, as well as its Swedish original, Let the Right One In.

Oh yeah...good ones. 30 days of night and Let the Right One In especially.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer might not exactly be horror as it's generally understood but I don't know what else to call it and it's certainly got some horrifying bits. Worth a watch IMO but it's slow going, got to give it some time.
I thought Hereditary might be the best pure supernatural horror in recent memory. It was cool too, because they made it seem like they telegraphed what was going to happen in the trailer (at least the one I saw) but it was a total red herring. I almost didn't watch it because of that, but I'm glad I did.

The Blackcoat's Daughter is another relatively recent horror that I really liked. Super atmosphere and suspense.

I really liked Birdbox. Veronica is another good one. Hush is pretty good too.
My favourite horror film would be Suspiria. Check that one, if you haven’t already.

My favorites were when I was young and still had the ability to be terrified. Rosemariy’s Baby. The Brother Hood of Satan. Starring Strother Martin. The Exorcist and I really enjoyed the first Halloween movie Jamie Lee Curtis is the same age as me. Still have a crush on her. Rod Serling’s Night Gallery. And the classic-Twilight Zone.

I mean I can still be terrified by reality, not so much fiction.

Saw The Exorcist as a kid and it scared the bejeezus out of me but I expect also is what kicked off my lifelong love of horror since then.
Rosemary's Baby was great, atmospheric psychological horror.

I saw the original Suspiria a long time ago but still need to check out the remake. I hadn't heard of Veronica, will check that out too. I also like foreign horror a lot, especially J-horror and K-horror. Train to Busan is a great K-horror zombie flick.

Speaking of zombies, I know it's a tired genre but check out Black Summer on Netflix if you like zombie movies. I thought it was really well done.

Oh yeah - Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses. There's a new one about the Firefly family coming out soon too - called 3 From Hell. It's a prequel, I think.
The Serpent and the Rainbow was good. Really, really creepy!
