IF MARTIN WALKED UP TO ZIMMERMAN AND, TOTALLY UNPROVOKED, HIT HIM, BREAKING HIS NOSE AND KNOCKING HIM TO THE GROUND, AND THEN MARTIN JUMPED ON TOP OF ZIMMERMAN AND STARTED BEATING HIS HEAD INTO THE GROUND, AND ZIMMERMAN IN FACT COULD NOT BREAK AWAY AND SAW NO OTHER RECOURSE THAN TO SHOOT MARTIN TO SAVE HIS LIFE, I BELIEVE HE WAS PROBABLY JUSTIFIED IN WHAT HE DID.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PROVE TO ME THAT THIS IS HOW THE EVENTS ON THAT NIGHT HAPPENED. WHAT -- YOU CAN'T??? I AM NOT SAYING THE EVENTS DID NOT HAPPEN EXACTLY AS YOU'VE LAID THEM OUT BUT THE MARTIN FAMILY DESERVES THAT THE TRUTH COME OUT, EITHER POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE. RIGHT NOW THERE ARE AS MANY QUESTIONS AS ANSWERS.

I'm sure there's a point to that, but having $$$ isn't wrong, unless he got it off a nearby dead body.. His mistake was pissing off the judge.. I don't blame him for attempting to hide the $$.

I read quite a while ago, very soon after his arrest, that Zimmerman had opened up a website requesting donations for his defense and had received about $200,000 until he was advised or ordered to shut it down.

No harm/no foul, other than as Nuglet said, the judge was probably pissed since the original bail was set based on the understanding that Zimmerman was indigent.

I have not read through all of this thread but I just wanted to make one point.

I do hope that if I am ever accused of a horrible crime that it never makes it out to the mainstream news media because 100% of the time it does, the defense is ALWAYS viewed as guilty. OJ Simpson, Andrea Yates, Michael Jackson, Casey Marie Anthony, and now Andrew Zimmerman. And any other different opinion, whether it be said in public to a "not-guilty" ruling, will always spark life-threatening outrage from the public.

I know our justice system isn't perfect but it is much better than the news media and general public opinion. If any of you guys ever sat on a jury you would know the extraordinary lengths and process that a case goes through to at least ensure that the prosecution and more importantly the defense has a fair trial that's guaranteed in our Constitution.

I don't know what exactly happened that night and neither do any of you guys. I choose not to have any opinion on this particular case since I know I do not know all the facts. I just have faith in our justice system to fairly come to the correct verdict when its all said and done.
