Howdy, Folks!



Okay, first thing - I haven't done anything SXSW related in 17 years.


So...I dropped an out of town friend off at 6th and Congress today around 2pm.


I have never, EVER seen that many people in downtown Austin.

Totally mobbed. On a Thursday afternoon, at 2pm.


Wow.

I honestly had no idea it had gotten this big...

92 Venues and 1900 bands... Since 4 years ago they have doubled the amount of volunteers from 1500 to 3000.

Agreed. I went into downtown last night and I am really surprised no "pedestrian run overs" have happened with all the different means of transit now compared to 3-4 years ago. Very odd adaptation to driving with people buzzing all over.
