Listcrawler ads with Email instead of #

I've noticed that many ads on LS have a notice to text an email addy instead of a phone #.
Is this some kind of scam or a legit alternative means of contact ?

Scam! Never, ever, give a site like this your regular email. Get a seperate one, away from ECCIE, and everything else.

This should be under a seperate name from your normal hobby name, and of course your real name. You need a dead end spot for checking this stuff out.

With that in hand you can email several of these ladies who won't give the phone number. You will find at lease 90% or more will waste your time wanting you to put cash up front for them to check you out at a site requesting your credit card number - don't do it.

No credit card numbers are to ever be used in the hobby.

yes a Burner e-mail, or two, or three.
And a hobby e-mail for trusted gals.
Burner credit card (if you don't understand how, give up hobby).
Burner phone.
"Other" phone line for gals you trust (google voice is an example).

And for guys that hit the civie date boards, another set for that.
