Default Thinking of Visiting New Mexico

I was thinking to visit New Mexico but don’t really know which area that has a lot to offer or area that I am sure that will make me be busy during my trip. Can you please give some advice? Also which hotel is best to stay? Thanks in advance.

Albuquerque and Santa Fe for sure, simply due to population sizes.
