Braided Cotton, 5/8 or 3/4.

Crossed wrists above head or behind back.

Has to be cotton as anything else will scrape.
1/2 in is to thin and if tight will....
Besides the thicker rope looks nice in pictures when displayed on the toy of the day.

If you want real fast, thick zip ties but leave them loose.

I have a restraint kit that works with any Bed with mattresses. Does not need headboard! One of my favorite clients bought it for me! I can PM you more details if you like!

An alternate method is velcro, though not technically tying. Quicker than rope, but not as romantic.

I have a set of Velcro handcuffs I like; but I also use the silk sashes from my robes to put someone in 4 point restraints. They’re soft, and long enough to tie to the bed frame.
