Where can I find some watermelon from the local fields?? Not those rounds ones..the oval shaped long ones...diamondbacks?

In general, I've found the best quality watermelons at Costco. They're probably not locally grown though.

I would seriously think the locals won't have any home grown melons by the fourth. It is possible, if they were grown to start in a high hoop tunnel. Our spring was cool and wet. I think the only home grown you find here , was grown at someone else's home down South.

I was in Texas earlier this month but they didnt have any yet.
Im gonna go the farmers markets yall suggested...and yes thats correct,thanks Black Diamonds

I am having a family get together and my son wants to make watermelon vodka...
You take a watermelon..inject it w Vodka..chill in a baby pool of ice
..then cut open and enjoy..yumm!
