Angry Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!(?)

While I have a pretty good stash of MREs and MH 6 packs I thought it would be nice to get a few more Mountain House "6 packs" for shits a giggles.

I went to Amazon (of course) first. They had nothing! Went to the Mountain House site . . . EVERYTHING they carry is "out of stock"! EVERYTHING and ANYTHING!

Today I thought I'd check MREs. What is available is 3, 4, 5 + times the previous price(s). Single cases MREs are going for almost $400! Search "MRE" on Amazon, see for yourself! Civilian MREs seem to be what they used to be. I was on hold for 40 minutes to report this. There was something in the news the other day how Amazon was working to fix this but the customer service guy didn't even know what "price gouging" was. AND there isn't a way to report this kind of thing on their site!

Haven't been to HyVee yet but as I stated day before yesterday Wally World's canned food shelves were pretty much empty while the humongus paper aisle was empty! Come Tuesday, us old folk can shop by ourselves at 6a.m. Time will tell if that is going to make a difference!

WHAT THE FUCK!?!?

Wink

Can't help but think of the people who have bed rooms, basements and garages filled with toilet paper and canned goods! Oh, and MREs and Mountain House meals!

Makes me think of the age old toilet paper joke that was funny in my high school years after a few beers!

I saw that too. Walmart was picked clean at noon today. Canned goods and paper products. Meats were only one or two of each item. They would be restocking in the day if they had it. They are there to sell, not wait till later.

Sam's club has a limit of one of any item in stock. An employee today told me I couldn't grab 2 bags of the same salad oh we'll. As long as I have enough beer I'm good.

I thought you were going to tell us about John Wayne toilet paper:

It is rough and tough, and it doesn't take shit off of anyone.

I was laughing at the brainiacs hoarding. Especially TP for a respiratory virus...go figure. I was actually rooting for them. They were obviously operating at a very low level of consciousness. Not realizing there are these clandestine places called warehouses and distribution centers. So now all that old stock is moved...many stores are restocked now and quantities are back in place. At least out here in SoJoCo. My shopping has been totally uneventful. Able to get what I want in the brands I want in the quantities I want.

Business is as usual over my way. Hope everyone else is back to ‘normal’ as well.

Next there will be a run on anti diarrhea medication when those brainiacs find out those eggs they're hoarding have a short shelf life. And you can't just scramble'em up and throw them in the freezer either and expect them to last for months! To some people that shit is rocket science!

Was talking to one of the Texan's this morning on exactly that. The only eggs left at Wallyworld this morning were the 30 count flats that we used to get for the hotel restaurants.
She says yeah good for maybe a week, a lot of folks will be tossing a lot next week. But you want large omelets right? So we took a flat cause she'll tear through those in a week.

Why was everyone buying bread and bananas in hourds? The shelf life is kinda short on both of them. I buy bread @ savealot and walmart -n- it barely makes it home before it turns kinda dried out. What happen to the soft bread from years ago?? I gotta know!!!
