Half the team looked like they had a hangover. Dressing 6D in Letang's absence and not having either Letang or Shultz to run point on the PP is going to be problematic. The D play was bad. Odd-man rushes and leaving guys alone on the doorstep. I did think the way the Pens handled the tributes early was, unsurprisingly, touching and on-point. Lot of folks donated a lot of money and blood last night, which was also heartening to see. Mood in the building was clearly different.

I was never much of a Haglin fan. I can't say I care way way or another that he was traded.

Hagelin was a great addition early on. But he was overpaid too. He’ll be missed in the penalty kill. Don’t know much about the other guy so can’t really judge the trade but I have a lot of faith in Rutherford. He’s made mistakes, but he gets it right more often than not.

Pearson is a solid player in a slump. I don't know if he has decent speed or not. Kings are a slow team.

Hags never won games but he never lost them either. His handful of goals wont be missed. In the end pens retain 250k so cap space wont change. Personally shoulda dumped sprong.
Worst case is this doesn’t help us at all and it certainly won’t make us worse. Pearsons got the speed and was a goal scorer a few years ago. If he can find it again it will be a decent move.

Its early but never to early to quit playing pond hockey. Definitely need make moves to get the speed back. Pens are no longer the fastest team. Guys like sheahan and maatta need to go.

The yellow helmets they go back to the ones they had jerseys are nice that should go with black helmets

Not a fan of the jerseys. Don't like the number high up on the shoulder. I was hoping for the diagonal "pittsburgh "Snoop dog jerseys to come back

Hockey has so many trades goin on if you don’t follow the Pems for a week you may not recognize half the team. If the pens stop the losing streak I’ll begin to watch if we make the playoffs. Only because of the shear comadery the city shows when we win. That’s pretty fucking awesome
