So Sanctimonious

Reminds of Frank Costello before the Kefauver investigation (Congress) -
When asked by the Committee to name one thing he’d done for his country, Costello snapped, “Paid my tax!”
So Similar!!!

2 very different things.

obstruction of federal operation is where officers/agents/soldiers were prevented from doing their jobs. This includes situations of sabotage, blocking, damaging equipment.

Fred, I ask you. Which do you think is more morally reprehensible, giving a poor and uneducated alien the best and highest paying job he's ever had in his life, or declaring bankruptcy four fucking times?

The reality is that Americans won't do that work because illegals have driven down the wages for those jobs. Take the illegals out of the equation, and the wages will increase to the point that it becomes profitable for an American to do that work.

And Waco's also right about illegals costing the U.S. billions per year. In addition to illegals taking more out of the system than they are paying in to it, they are putting Americans out of work and onto social relief; thus, driving up the cost for society.
Very good points - even the taxes that they pay just go into the system to provide some support for the very workers that they displaced!

This doesn't even include the social costs of broken families since once the male breadwinner of the family is unable to provide he typically will get kicked out of the home in favor of a man who can provide.

Things are not always that simple. You have induced the alien and others like them to make a dangerous journey across the desert. You have lowered the wages of American workers and taken a job from them. You have potentially created more people dependent on the US government, both the family of the out of work American as well as the immigrant family.

Bankruptcy is very complex and I've never declared bankruptcy and have been victimized by it a few times. However, it depends. Did the person go bankrupt because they were a lazy and alcohol addicted fool who stole things to support their habit and abused their family and friends?

Or, did they have a real estate business where the underlying assets declined in value, their customers went bankrupt and didn't pay them rent, and they were unable to pay their loans? That's a different situation. Plenty of people fucked up in that situation.

But generally I hate people who do not pay their bills promptly. Also, deadbeat renters who rely on legal bullshit to not pay me their rent and retain the property really piss me off but what are you gonna do?

I accept your bankruptcy thoughts without further comment. I was only using that subject to throw shade where it's due. Getting back to exploiting cheap and uneducated labor sources though, are we not all guilty of this same thing, either directly or indirectly by shopping at stores such as Wal Mart, Target, or even high end stores for that matter that have their goods manufactured overseas where labor is cheaper? I don't have the answer for the current labor situation, but if Trump's blind supporters actually believe that he's going to solve it in one or even two terms, god help us all, then they are incredibly naive. People have been coming over here to work for the last 150 years from the countries that Trump calls shitholes, and he's gonna solve it all during the current administration? I doubt it.

I wish places like WalMart and Amazon would share profits with their workers after they make a reasonable rate of return and do not overpay themselves.

I wish we spent more on trade schools than 4 year colleges - we have way too many people getting useless college degrees.

Maybe more kids should stay at home while they work their way up the ladder at low wage starter jobs and accumulate some capital and experience.

Wages are a tough problem to solve. I think decent people in charge of businesses would help.

I agree with that.

How do we get more decent people to be in charge of businesses?
