I couldn't imagine doing that to a client!!! Really there is no good excuse she could give that would justify her behavior or actions! I say posting an alert about her...regardless if you get your property back is warrented without question!

Don't pay upfront and don't do overnights with ladies you barely know!

I've only done one overnight before, and it was with a lady I had seen about 12 times prior and trusted... and I paid her the next morning before she left.

I doubt the lady in question will give you a refund on your money, but maybe you can talk her into giving you your jackets back.

I gotta feel that there is more to this story. This is especially true since there has been no follow up by the OP in over two weeks even though there has been several posts requesting it.

This may be gross but my first thought on reading the original post was that the provider got sick or felt herself getting sick (bowel distress/cramping) and was too embarrassed to disclose this to the OP. If that was the case though, you'd think she would have made good on the situation later.

Regardless of that, she does have his two jackets and she did take his money and committed herself to an overnight date. She should be willing to make arrangements to settle the issue.

Sorry everyone, let me explain. I've been in touch with her and she has apologized profusely. She left me because something unexpected happened and she freaked out. She has since acknowledged her mistakes and pledged to return both the jackets and the money. I have been extremely skeptical of this, especially when 3-4 days pass with no contact. As it turns out I don't need to worry because karma has kicked her right in the teeth. And kicked her again. And again... She hasn't had a break go her way since that night. I know that she isn't working or I would have made more info available to save others the same fate. This isn't her M.O. by any means.

In addition to the above, I have held off releasing the full details because once they get out there is no taken it back. Throwing the details out into the forums is the only leverage I have so I'm not willing to play that card until diplomacy has failed. Mistakes happen-I know this very well from my own stupid moments and I am here today due to the grace of someone who owed me no mercy.

Again, other hobbyists have no reason to be worried. I will answer some questions privately but much of what I know I'm not comfortable sharing due to the personal nature. Mods if I'm out of line here please let me know as I'm relatively new to the boards.

Thank you everyone for your words of advice. I have learned a lot from the experience and I am willing to bet ($1000..?) that she has learned even more than me. :-)

She is nothing of the sort. She made bad decisions, that isn't in question. But we have all made bad decisions. That's as much a part of life as making good decisions. Yin and yang, good and evil, karma. Besides, what good does it do to call her names? She's down. No need to kick.

I call em as i see em .. sorry.. bad decision? she took off without letting the date know. that alone was call for a heads up.. but when money and personal items are involved. that's a little more than a bad idea .. then she didnt reply for DAYS .. shall i go any further .. Sorry i walk around with my eyes WIDE OPEN ..... No way would I ever do such a thing.. no matter the situation ..... but i guess that's the difference between A and B ...

Thank you. I'm glad someone besides me thinks so. And yes, I plan to stay on top of this situation until it is resolved. I will update here as soon as I have news.
