Let me ask you one thing. The so called "Birther" movement tried to claim that Obama was not qualified to be president because he was born of an American woman in a foreign country, Kenya. Ted Cruz was born of an American woman in a foreign country, Canada. So why is there no talk of him being not qualified to run for president.

The birther movement? You'll have to take that up with Hillary's people since they starter the birther movement. Also, it took Barack over three years to come up with a birth certificate (if you believe in that sort of thing) whereas Cruz has the proof and the law (of 1970) says that he is an American citizen. You need to go back in time and look at the laws of 1961 for Barry. Now if Barry would admit that his real father is Frank Marshall (a radical communist from Chicago and close friend of Ann Dunham and her father) then he's covered. So simple. He got his second term, Obama (oops, young mister Marshall) should just come clean.

Parts of the government are open--such as TSA and ATC.

However many parts are closed, whether your myopic brain wishes to acknowledge it or not. Actually, my bet is you know this but have very selective recall when a lie fits your purposes better. Care to see how long it will take you to get a passport this week, visit a national park, or check on your grant application (among other things)? But so long as they aren't your paycheck--or the part of the gov't you care to interact with today--what is a little exaggeration/mistruth among friends?
