Default Do we get graded here?

Do we get an A+ for keeping threads perfectly on topic here?

Why do some of you get in such a tizzy if something steers off topic in a thread like you are the forum police? Funny the moderators are not the ones who say anything about steering off topic usually.. I get you should stay on topic in general but.. all worked up over a thread.

What is the big deal? Enlighten me? its a forum board.. Its recreation and for info not to get scolded like your 12 because you went a little off topic.

Ive been a part of forum boards over the years and never seen so much whining because something steers off topic.. Specially ones that are not even serious.. its posted for curiosity, info, and fun. Get a grip and worry about your own life and not if a thread goes off topic.. I think some great stuff has come from steering in a new direction..

We should be serious about alerts and discussions on a serious nature pertaining to someones well being or safety.. the rest is fun.

Love me or hate me, Im stirring the pot.. Im saying what some of you wont.. going to reference this again...

Just sayin'

lmfao

Edit:

Since I know this is towards me, since you obviously didn't like my post about DATY.... I will respond. First yes, all I was gonna say is LFMAO....

There was no scolding. I was simply reminding EVERYONE that the topic wasn't about whether we like our job and the connections that are made and who should get more enjoyment out of the appointment. IF you read the OP (orginal poster) you would know he was simply asking what are the risks of DATY and if clients perform this regularly on providers.

Mods will chime in when a thread has been high jacked. Say in the future someone has the SAME question as the OP, they are given then the link. They have to read through a lot of BS and that can be rather annoying. It is always best to stay on topic for many reasons

*a thread on topic can/will read easier when trying to find useful information as per this is a tool for many
* once a thread has taken a new direction, it can become messy and thats normally when people start bickering back and forth, getting petty and disrespecting ECCIE guidelines and rules

Me personally this thread is rather "high school" and was why I wasn't going to say something. You don't like what someone has to say.... DROP IT! Delete it out of your head, Move on!!! Because now you have made your self look like an a** because you didn't like what someone had to say!

I have now personally taken offense to this thread! And hope mods chime in and remind you of some of the rules and guidelines of ECCIE! I would never publicly nor privatly disrespect someone because I didn't like what they had to say.

LAP and Eli used to take me to the woodshed for hijacking from time to time!! Almost learned my lesson from doing it as their paddles hurt!

Please refer to guideline #6 which reads as follows:

#6 - Respect the topics presented by those who start a thread. Attempts to derail a thread or change it's direction is referred to as thread hijack and will be discouraged. Attempts to guide a thread in the right direction are appreciated, while responses to posts which hijack a thread are not.

I didnt even realize you posted back in that thread. I just had to go look..This was not directed at you. It was in general. I would of sent a PM if I had a problem. Why would you assume I was talking about you? I dont understand..

I did not call any names out or directly point to anyone did I? Its a general statement and its the truth..

Like I said people get all worked up in a thread that's about fun and nothing serious..

If I broke the rules then the mods will let me know. Its not high school its telling it like it is and people need to relax a bit and not get all worked up over something simple.

Sorry I think its funny, real, and the truth. They dont like it dont see me or post a reply to my thread.

I get this.. I want to know why people get all worked up and start being rude.. they just chime in and be rude instead of constructive. Its the moderators job to chime in for this issue not a member that wants to stick their nose in and be rude.

I think this can only be settled by a nude mud wrestling match at Brooke's birthday M&G! With JOHNBALLS as referee.
