Unfortunately, there are those on forum who choose to stir the pot with deliberately insulting posts- specifically regarding our Servicemen and Women.

Some who have no respect for the sacrifices made so We can live in a free country.

Those with that view really should go live as a peasant under Kim, Maduro, or Xi and find the truth of their beloved Socialism.
Those who knoweth not history are condemned to repeat history!!
Adam Schiff simply cannot help himself, whether he is spouting asinine shit on the various MSM outlets or right here on ECCIE.

+1

But most service men and women will and many do fight to their death to protect those very same mommy's basement living keyboard commandos who denigrate them daily.

These great members of the military realize the need to allow the very freedoms that potentially defame them daily.

Luckily, it's a minority with very mixed up priorities who do this sort of defamation. They know who they are.

As for the historical perspective for the OP, I'd recommend maybe a compromise in how you present the daily information. Provide it as given with footnotes or call outs for what was not provided at the time or available until later.

I applaud you if you actually take the time to present a daily synopsis of the new as it happened over the multi year period. Please provide us the link if you do. I'd recommend not allowing anonymous comments on your site though. The above mentioned troll(s) would be out in force trying to ruin the historical perspective.

I respect the fact that you lost family, but you shouldn't construe our discussing the war as being an insult. From my perspective, we are honoring their service and their memory by remembering both their sacrifice and their achievements. They are, and will always remain, the "Greatest Generation."

Good job Nazis. Todays "military men" wouldn't make a pimple on the great generations ass

Too bad, mystic. You are incapable of the self-reflection necessary to address kehaar's question honestly. If you always suppress your feelings, they can never get hurt. John Lennon wasn't a scaredy cat like you.

looked it up.

it was a failed d-day landing exercise of epic proportions. the operation was fubared from the start. it was basically a failure of communication in the officer ranks that the timing of the exercise was delayed.

to compound it even further, military authorities refused to acknowledge what happened on that day even tho they acknowleged an e- boat attack on the exercise in 1954.

worse, the we don't know where the bodies were buried. all this do to the extreme secrecy of the d-day landings.

what was remarkable that the Germans didn't pick up on the dover location as a possible site similarity along the french coast.

Post all you want about the Great Generation. Just don't compare todays military to those great men. Kehaar is a Jihadist. When he asks a proper question I will answer it. John Lennon was like me, an American Patriot and capitalist. Nixon lead to his eventual death. Lusty when you do your next class could you give Kehaar a simple refresh on American History? Hes not from the USA and doesn't really fully understand our freedoms. ( and don't forget to tell him that the left lane is for passing only)

Does being wrong just come natural to you or do you have to work at it?

Quote:
Sec. 544.011. LANE USE SIGNS. If, on a highway having more than one lane with vehicles traveling in the same direction, the Texas Department of Transportation or a local authority places a sign that directs slower traffic to travel in a lane other than the farthest left lane, the sign must read "left lane for passing only."

Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 628, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997. Amended by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 62, Sec. 17.08, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
English grammar wasn't one of your "strong suits" I understand, but when an "If" is placed in a sentence, such as Section 544.011 it "signals" to the reader (who can read and comprehend) that following in the sentence there will be a "condition" that must be met for the remainder of the sentence to be true.

Since laws in English (particularly in the U.S.) are generally interpreted according to the standard English rules, it follows that the same interpretation would be given to the statute, which you wrongly interpreted while you were attempting to appear intellectually superior, which most, IF NOT ALL, reasonable people already recognize you are not. In short: stick with playing pickup sticks.

Verbal sparing is too challenging for you.

Someone told me but I didn't think Mystic was that stupid. I had to check out his latest...and yes, he is that stupid. John Lennon was British and not American.

Lennon was murdered by Mark David Chapman
Nixon had nothing to do with it.
Chapman's motivation related to JD Salinger's book Catcher in the Rye.
Yuckko Ono's consort knows not Facts. And is a habitual thread hi-jacker.

LL and TRB - You are both correct.
