Well, I spent 15 years in (Army). And I've had a room mate in the Army who was as queer as a 3 dollar bill. But when we served just "BEING" gay would get you discharged. What I find funny about the entire DADT argument is that most people forget that DADT was considered a coup for gay activists when it was instituted! Now it's a victory when they get it repealed? WTF?!?! Make up your fucking minds! Do you want it or not?

Now, I will say, to be fair, they used the same policy as a progression. Prior to DADT you could be tossed for "being a homosexual" even if you didn't do anything sexually. Just if you had an "inclination". This was probably due to the old idea that a homosexual was mentally unstable. So DADT made it so that "being gay" was not grounds for discharge as long as you didn't commit a gay act. Now, apparently you can fuck your buddy and it's OK. But I still think an openly gay lower EM is going to get the shit kicked out of him if comes out....not saying it's right, just saying it is. Now officers, pilots, intelligence analysts and such may be more enlightened. But I've not met too many enlightened Infantry grunts.

But to my point. I just find it highly ironic that gay activists scored a victory getting DADT accepted as policy, then score another victory in getting it repealed. Any guesses on who was in charge when DADT was put in?

LM, I know you are being satirical in what you say about your long lost daddy JG, but I would not consider education and health care for the veterans welfare. They have done something to deserve the benefits mentioned. Even my favorite little turd JG has done something to deserve them, as much as it pains me to say it. LOL.
