Thumbs up What are must-see places in the Bay Area?
Hey y'all

Next month, I'm visiting the Bay Area for the first time ever! I grew up on the East Coast, but I've always wanted to see what the West Coast, and specifically Cali was all about. I'll be flying into Oakland in mid-October. But I'm also looking to explore San Francisco and other Bay Area cities as well. I'm especially interested in great museums, galleries, art exhibits, and other cultural institutions, as well as awesome spots to dine!

What recommendations do y'all have?

To many to list, I'll start with the obvious attractions and Must See's

Golden Gate Bridge
Gold Gate Park
Pier 39
Fisherman's Wharf
Alcatraz
Union Square, especially if you like to Shop or at least Window Shop
Chinatown
Exploratorium
If you like Aquariums, head down to Monterey
SF Museum of Modern Art
The De Young Museum
