No doubt you've read about 3-D printing, the process of making three-dimensional solid objects of vitually any shape from a digital model.

Not sure how soon any of us may be driving "printed" cars, but it's interesting.

And the potential may not be limited to car-sized products.

In this 12-minute video, a USC engineering professor explains with graphic animation how we could 3-D "print" entire houses and small buildings:

I believe these developments have the potential to revolutionize manufacturing and construction.

Don't mind that guy - apparently he's been spamming every thread in here with that same post.

Anyways, yeah the 3D printing stuff is pretty cool stuff. I actually used it in school years ago for 3D modeling stuff in AutoCad but the printers themselves getting more advanced and being able to "print" on more mediums is what's really making new possibilities open up.
