Does anyone know where you go to hire a nude model?

Really, that's it... just a model and nothing else.

I have a fantasy of being a "Playboy Photographer" for a couple of hours. I'm just a photography hobbyist and by NO means a pro!

Not looking for anything more than just a model.

Any help would be appreciated!

Check out www.modelmayhem.com. There are a handful of local models that shoot nudes but not many. You will need to create an account first but your best bet would be to run a search for nude models in Austin instead. I haven't updated it in quite a while but you can check mine out by going here http://www.modelmayhem.com/1888850. Let me know if you need any help in setting up an account.

you can always offer this to one of our lovely ladies that show their faces in their adds. they might be comfortable doing this

This is certainly an option but not a very financially sound one. No offence to any of the ladies here but for $200 I can hire a model for 2 to 4 hours, depending on said model, and get a signed full commercial release.

The first two photos in the portfolio. She's been published in at least 11 different Playboy Special Editions and counting. She's also one hell of a person. Not only is she beautiful but she's incredibly intelligent and just plain fun to be around.

I checked out the model mayhem website. Awesome site! It looks like it's geared to photographers who are making money with their photos.

I'm not a "pro" at all. Just a hobbyist (with a fantasy)... I wonder if I'd "qualify" for the site.

I did create a free account, but I need to send some samples of photo shoots. Currently, I don't have any samples since I have real no experience. I've got a couple of photos I could upload, but nothing good.

Oh, and I did forget to ask, what do models usually charge per hour? A round-a-about figure would be greatly appreciated!

Model Mayhem is for anyone with a passion for the industry. You will find straight up amateurs along with 'pros' (I personally don't like that term) there in all their respective fields. As long as you read and follow the requirements and don't submit snapshots you should be good.

Your best bet would be to hire a model that knows what she is doing. That way you get the benefit of her experience to help you along. As long as you talk to her and are not afraid to ask her for pointers. A models point of view is always invaluable.

As for a models rates, that is strictly between you and the model. The good ones are worth their weight in gold and usually will give a discount the longer you hire them for. But don't be afraid to negotiate a better price.

Also, if you plan on using the photos for your portfolio (and pretty much anything else except private use) you will need to have her sign both a model release and a 2257 form.

I have know girls who use model mayham. one of them was more than willing to take her clothes off. She just wanted the pics. She was really hot blond a big sweetheart. She trying to take up modeling.

There is also one model place. The Bear has turned his spare room into a studio. Just another hobby to have fun with.
