Default Anyone remember the Water Palace?
I guess it's been closed for about 10 years now. I no longer live in Des Moines but it was a fun place to go back then. I came back for a visit shortly after moving and was disappointed to see that it was closed.

Is there anyplace similar now?

The last place we had was the Phoenix. It died after it moved to make way for the sculpture garden.

Waterworks was targeted by the L.E.

How stupid. I used to get hj there or Phoenix or ToNeCa at very reasonable prices and everyone stayed healthy. The escorts business is so different and so much more money...but...

That was my first foray into the hobby here in Des Moines. Thought it was clean and great that you could see pics of the girls first. Granted, some were hit and miss in terms of menu offered. Personally, I like the Internet with sites like eccie where you can both view pics, prices, and menus.

I was a big fan of the water palace... there used to be a big black lady that ran the door... she used to make jokes... then I saw her once at taco johns working the register shortly after it closed... I was with my gf at the time.. akward!

Ya, it was Stevie! She was outstanding...one of the best ever.

After it closed, she worked a couple of weeks at the Phoenix but I missed her...was told she was going to make an honest living from then on. Would love to see her again.
