Default Don Cornelius, RIP

As someone who grew up in the early 1970s I owe it to him that on Saturday mornings I got to see,

The Delfonics, The Stylistics, The Fith Demension, Al Green, The Jackson Five, Teddy Pendergrass, TSOP, Curtiss Mayfield, Isac Hayes, and a host of others the likes of which we are very much missing today.

Were he still around he would take one look at "Lil Wayne" and slap him across the room.

I'm not a big fan of Lil Wayne but I am sure the parents of people who liked the above mentioned bands, performers were not well liked by the older generation either.

RIP Don....

Yeah you're probably right about that. But all those artists from the 60s, 70s and 80s were talented, reasonably intelligent, and put forward a benign image/message.

Creatures like Lil Wayne and his ilk are malicious idiots who put forward a belligerant message that screams, "I'm an Asshole!"

Taste is one thing, but feeding off malice is another.

Axl is something else but a great talent. Hopefully, he will put aside the ego and be inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame with Duff, Adler, Izzy, and Slash.

Appetite for Destruction still gives me the chills.....
