I'm assuming things will open back up again whenever we get on a downward trend; at least halfway down the current curve. How long that takes is up to us honestly.

As far as I know bucks is still open for business. I had went the day after they said bars are to be closed. I also was told by the waitress they will remain open till they are told otherwise. They’re also active on Instagram. Last night they posted the gals outside watching the fireworks.

Haven’t been since COVID 19 took over my life but still stay in touch with dancers, bartenders and 6 of their managers.

Is that anything like keeping it on the downlow?

So the question becomes, do you want to be the very very rare cases (and those cases are becoming more frequent by the day) of getting re-infected once you are cured from your first stint of the virus?
If you read most credible medical journals through June 2020 (including the AMA, Cleveland Clinic, UTSouthwestern, the consensus answer is that they don’t Yet know at this point.
To make a statement like “There is no immunity” is ridiculous and ill informed.
Wish I could find the meme for the Internet Certified Immunopathologist/Epidemiologist as surely someone has earned the degree in this thread.
Think I’ll stick with the real scientist who say “we don’t yet know” and act accordingly. 🙄

So, of the people who were infected in the past, and that is proven through testing, they recover completely, then get reinfected again - have any of them died?

From all I have read, re infection is still a big unknown. The rate of re infection is extremely low and I have not read of a single case where they died. We need to remember, the tests still have issues. Given what I have read, if I am infected and my test for antibodies is positive, I will party like a motherfucker.

Sorry to be so ridiculous and misinformed, DR. btbb. I forgot to put in, there is no immunity YET and kinda like all these years trying to find a vaccine to get rid of HIV, there may not be a cure and no one is immune YET.

As much as I can't prove that there is some level of cross immunity if an individual has been infected previously with say... Chicken Pox, you or no one else CAN prove that there is no immunity AT ALL. There are quite a few research being done on the pattern of infection. One of them does point that prior infection does play a role

https://www.wsj.com/articles/before-catching-coronavirus-some-peoples-immune-systems-are-already-primed-to-fight-it-11591959600

So let us not make definitive statements as there are a lot of unknowns. In this hobby and life in general we all have different risk thresholds. We all need to aquire information from wherever we deem well researched and credible, process it and generate our view points and behave accordingly. Sure there is a huge societal cost to improper behavior by others on us in a pandemic, but it is the price of living in a democracy.

Trust me, on this site of misinformation, assumptions and outright lies, there is no rule about throwing shit at the wall and see what sticks. Some even repeat lies so much it becomes truth to them.

I think the CDC has exagerrated the deaths of covid-19, including the other viruses such as the flu and pneumonia counting them as covid-19 deaths just to inflate the number and panic everyone.
