Can someone be so kind as to explain the process of adding an 'avatar'?

I recently edited my profile to change my age from mid-40s to late 40s, lol. I didn't notice a way to add an avatar or photo e.g. Blue's 'Keef Stone' pic. Could someone explain how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Click username, edit options, on left side click edit avatar.

Thanks man. Initially, I'd tried that but it didn't work. Finally figured out that I have to change some security settings. Good lookin' out.
